Photographic Art of Jonathan Havelock Jonathan's photographic artwork captures his love for the prairies, mountains and ocean. Images focus on the everyday – fishing vessels and structures – threatening storm clouds over a field – or inspiring mountain falls. Jon's goal is to highlight the extraordinary that is inherent in the ordinary – to heighten our appreciation and awareness of our environment and the communities and people that are sustained by it. Photographer's Statement I work exclusively with digital imaging to create photographic art that reflects the essence of the subject. Weathered shacks in a small cove, the deep blue of a clear day or the brilliant greens and yellows of a lily pond are portrayed with sensitivity, realism and respect. By using various exposures, angles and techniques I strive to achieve a unique union of photographic detail with the depth, colour and light of oil painting.
